The unit first identifies and acquires relevant resources through purchase, subscription, exchange, or donation. After acquisition, the materials undergo technical processing, which includes cataloguing, classification, accessioning, labeling, and database entry. These processes ensure that each item is properly organized and searchable in the library catalogue, enabling efficient retrieval and use by readers.
